LITTLE IDEAS TO ADD TO MY RESEARCH
After reviewing all of my current work I want to begin to make links of how society today has changed in comparison to the past, I would want to see the change of mobile phone technology and how we are wasting precious time by not living our lives.

After looking at Djuno Tomsni's work I have seen that he has created a college from individuals ENJOYING their life in the photographs. I was fascinated that his work consists of a location or place being involved within the image- maybe emphasising that it is a place of happiness for an individual. In my perspective all of his work gathers warm tones of colour which create a mood which is not representing negativity. his work also displays a story which i have become very fond of, I would want to recreate something like this but in the form of a n
I have had a quick brainstorm of ideas that I could begin to photograph places which are now abandoned and collage them with images of the norm that people do in society today.
I would then experiment with images of what life was like in the past whilst making links to seeing a difference between living your life in the past in comparison to wasting each day doing things which are wasting the time we could have creating memories with the people we love the most.
I would be able to link it to afterlife by adding the 'space' and 'galaxy' theme to my work and making suggestions about what it would be like for when we die in the future.
My plan:
1. research and find artists who actually photographed images of key moments or events that made individuals unhappy, or to feel an emotion where they felt like they were wasting their time.
2. Begin to photograph images of members of the public who in my opinion feel like are wasting their time and are not making a positive impact on their own life for now or in the future, e.g:
Focusing on contrast on grey scale and colour |
- Individuals being on their phones and not talking to their family.
- People working a job where they do not look like they are enjoying it.
- People who are being sucked into education and work and feeling pressured to lock themselves away from their social life.
- The older generation being disengaged from society.
- People smoking, doing drugs and drinking alcohol.
- People who have created deviant and criminal acts - from minor acts such as littering to burglary, If i find it difficult to photograph then I could purposely re-create the images by booking out the photography studio, whilst using props and actors.
I want to experiment to see the difference of how afterlife can be seen in the perspective of happiness in comparison to sadness, I want to use and find more locations that are abandoned to make current societal problems to be seen as a location of 'hell' or sadness- making the viewer to think about their influences and actions in later life and how it may not benefit their outlook on what they could've doe differently when becoming old.
I will take images of the current issues listed above whilst photoshopping them and experimenting with image adjustments to distort them, I also want to see the effect that collage has on the surrealist perspective so I am going to cut out images and begin an overlay onto of a space or galaxy background.
